Frances J. Coet
The 2000 SBA Accountant-Advocate for Colorado and
Region VIII, Frances J. Coet, Certified Public Accountant, Certified
Valuation Analyst, and Certified Financial Planner® Practitioner, has thirty years
experience in accounting, tax preparation and tax planning for
individuals, corporations, partnerships, and fiduciaries. A specialist
in divorce taxation planning and cash flow, Fran has qualified as an
expert witness regarding business valuations and income tax issues, and
is a seminar Leader on tax Legislation, tax planning and record keeping
for businesses. She has received two Certificate of Education
Achievement Awards from the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants, one for Tax Counseling for Closely Held Businesses and the
other for Business Valuation. Before opening her own accounting firm in
1986, she worked for the Internal Revenue Service as a taxpayer service
specialist and classroom instructor, and at a Local CPA firm. A third
generation tax preparer, she began her career with an income tax and
bookkeeping firm in Iowa. She graduated from Regis University, magna cum
Laude, with a major in business administration and a minor in economics.
Fran is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants, Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants, Financial
Planning Association, and National Association of Valuation Analysts.
She was Chair of the Colorado Society of CPAs Federal Taxation Committee
and served on their Board 1998-2000 and as Vice President 2000-2001. She
also belonged to Women in Focus of the Northwest Metro Chamber of
Commerce.
John R. Coet
John R. Coet, a Certified Public Accountant, Personal
Financial Specialist, and Certified Financial Planner® Practitioner, has more than
twenty-five years experience in all phases of financial accounting. A
former Revenue Agent with the Internal Revenue Service, John has served
as a systems accountant with United State Air Force, controller for a
Local corporation, and has taught statistical analysis and quantitative
methods at Metropolitan State College. John taught a corporate income
tax class at Regis University in early 2002. He received a
bachelor's of science, summa cum Laude, in computer and management
science from Metropolitan State College of Denver. John is a member of
the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Colorado Society
of Certified Public Accountants and the Financial Planners Association.
He has received Certifications of Educational Achievement from the
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants for Tax Counseling
for Closely Held Businesses, and Personal Financial Planning.
Cathie Asmus
Cathie Asmus, a Certified QuickBooks® Professional Advisor, has
worked with small business accounting for twenty years. As a Certified
QuickBooks® Professional Advisor, Cathie teaches QuickBooks® classes and
seminars at Coet & Coet, PC and at Front Range Community College. Cathie
has been on-staff at Coet & Coet, PC for five years, following an
in-house accounting position at an engineering and design firm. As a
staff member, Cathie prepares small business accounting, corporate and
partnership tax returns, and diagnostics for clients who use QuickBooks®
as their accounting software. Cathie is a graduate of the University of
Denver, with a BSBA, 1987, and has continued her education with classes
at the Colorado Society of CPA's and Metropolitan State College. She is
a member of the Broomfield Chamber of Commerce.

Christine Johnson
Native of Denver, Christine (Chris) an Enrolled Agent has worked in the accounting and financial management field since she started her career in 1980, covering a broad scope of industries from large to small, transportation to non-profit. Chris has also operated a small business of her own and continues to consult with her husband who is also a small business owner.
Chris has been with Coet and Coet, P.C. since Spring 2000. Chris prepares individual, corporate and fiduciary tax returns, meets with individuals and small business to help them determine their tax liabilities and assist them with methods of lowering future taxes. Having obtained her Series 6 & 63 licenses’, Chris can implement qualified tax savings plans for clients and assist them with their planning concerns. Chris has a certificate in Entrepreneurship and has attended Metro State and Front Range Community College. She is currently working toward her certification in financial planning. Additionally, she continues her professional education to keep abreast of ongoing changes in tax and financial services.
Chris is a member of the Metro North Chamber of Commerce and has severed as the chair and co-chair of the Wednesday morning leads group. She has also served as an Ambassador for the Chamber. Chris is also a member of the National Society of Accountants and The National Association of Enrolled Agents. She has also served as the Treasurer of a women’s networking group Our Connection.

Lori Kendrick
Native of Lakewood, Lori brings a wealth of experience in organization.
Lori has worked in office management throughout her professional
career. Her past experience as a portfolio manager gives her a keen
insight. She has also served as a conflict resolution officer for a
regional airline.
Lori
has been with Coet and Coet, P.C. since January 2005. Lori provides
on-going support to the staff and provides the line of communication to
all of the firm’s clients. She is the liaison between each project and
the client. Lori plays an integrate part of bringing the project to
completion. She coordinates the activity for all of the Quick Books
seminars as well as assisting in the area in financial planning. In
addition, Lori has developed exceptional relationships with the vendors
used by the firm.

Mona Patton
Mona Patton has been with Coet and Coet, P.C. since
spring 2006. As payroll manager, Mona brings with her over 25 years of
accounting experience. Prior to joining Coet and Coet, Mona was a
business owner herself, Mountain Accounting for eight years. Through
this experience, along with many accounting and bookkeeping positions,
Mona has provided services including financial statements, payroll
services and all related reports, sales tax reports, trustee services,
corporate and individual returns. Mona has an extensive working
knowledge in preparing all quarterly and year end required reports.
Mona has attended Community College of Denver and
the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in preparation
for the challenges of this field. Her background includes dealing with
corporate and individual accounting and recordkeeping needs. Mona has
also worked in a non-profit corporation, providing their services.
